New Holden Monaro Commercials and Slideshows

Launced in October 2001, the new Monaro's tenure at the local Holden dealerships was, sadly, all too short. Widely praised by motoring journalists not only from Australia, but around the world, the Monaro proved GMH capable of building world class performance vehicles that matched the best Europe could offer, and on price or bang-for-your-buck there was never any real competition.

It was inevitable that punters would balk at the thought of a 6 cylinder Monaro, even if it was supercharged - the CV6 would depart early in the piece. In total, approximately 40,000 Monaro's would be built, 11,119 sold in Australia, with 29,000 exported to the US (and sold as the Pontiac GTO), South Africa and UK.

The last iteration was arguably the best, while not all liked the bonnet scoops we at Unique Cars and Parts think they looked great, almost as good as the elegant (but smaller) versions used on the original HT and HG's. The Gen IV 5.7 liter V8 was good for 260kw at 5600rpm, that'll do nicely thanks. Here is a small collection of television commercials featuring the late-great Monaro CV8.
