1957, the Silver Cloud Long Wheel Base (lwb) was designed to be Chauffeur driven, with its four inches of extra length allowing for a glass division to be fitted behind the front seats.
The standard saloon body was lengthened by coachbuilder Park Ward and looked very similar to the standard Silver Cloud, apart from the larger rear 1/4 windows in the back doors.
The Silver Cloud LWB was available alongside the older Silver Wraith, which tended to carry more formal coachbuilt bodies.
Only 121 cars were produced before production ended in 1959, the model being directly replaced by the similar Silver Cloud 2 LWB.
